PRE & POST CARE
INSTRUCTIONS
- In order to prepare for your first appointment, exfoliate the skin on your brow and forehead area to ensure there is no dry or peeling skin in the brows & keep the skin moisturized up until the day of the appointment.

- Botox or fillers should be done 2 weeks before your brow session.
- Avoid Retinoids and Vitamin A over the brow area for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment as it can increase skins natural exfoliation and compromise your results.
- Avoid blood thinning medications 48 hours prior to appointment. (Vitamin E, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Gingko Biloba and Fish Oil Supplements).
- Avoid alcohol & caffeine 24 hours before your appointment to allow for the maximum absorption of pigment.
-Tinting, waxing or threading brows should be done at least 2 days prior to your appointment.
- The initial and most critical stage of the healing process takes about 7-14 days.
It is VERY important to follow these guidelines. Not following these guidelines may result in risk of infection and compromised colour results.
- Following the procedure, a healing emollient is applied to provide a protective barrier and prevent infection from occurring. 3 hours post procedure (and again before bed), you will wash this off with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented cleanser. Pat dry with a disposable, soft paper towel. For the next 7 days, continue to do this each morning and night. Do not use a regular towel as this may increase the chance of infection.
- For the first 24 hours your brows may produce a clear liquid, known as lymph. Do not worry as this is normal. To prevent a thick crust or scabbing from forming, blot any excess residue with a disposable paper towel a few times over the first day. Thick crusting or scabbing may result in loss of pigment.
- Do not apply anything to the brows after washing and patting dry for the first two days. Beginning on day 3 you may apply an unscented lotion up to 3 times a day, using a disposable cotton swab, to help with itchiness. This should be done until the skin has fully healed (no longer scabbing).
- Do not use a petroleum jelly (Vaseline), or a medicated/anti-bacterial ointment as this will cause the brows to sweat underneath and remove pigment.
- Keep hair away from treated brow area for the first 3 days to decrease the chance of infection.
- For the first 7-10 days, keep the treated area dry!
- Avoid exposing the area to water (other than washing morning and night).
- Avoid excessive sweating, steam rooms/saunas and swimming.
- Keep the area cosmetic free while healing.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure/tanning beds for the first 2 weeks to prevent colour from healing overly ashy.
**Do not peel, pick or scratch the area!**
